The Lion Box

_____________________________________~___________________________________
This is the "Lion" box, another commission I got as well. Its going to be manly painted and some wood burning but very little, just for some extra detailing in the end. The process of drawing on the Lion was very tedious, I had a problem getting it to fit on there just right and I still think I have some work left a head of me to get it to look just right but so far what I have, I am very pleased with!

Here is the side pattern on the box, I wanted it to be simple and elegant, it is for a high elf after all! I may add a little more later but for now this is what I have done so far.

Here is the front of the box, I have lines lined up and ready to do some elven script on it. At the bottom you can the small elegant details I added just for some extra look along the bottom.

Scry's "Oraborus" Box

Here the start of Scry's commissioned Oraborus box. Its kind of like the Buxton box but in order to make it completely different then that one, I made it look more oriental. The side band is designed after a pattern I had gotten off of the back of her tarot cards, it was a rough pattern and I did my best to work with what I had to go off of, turned out better then I had expected!

The Tiger Box

Here is one of the latest commissions I finished in the last little while. Sorry I have been away from here for some time, things have been busy and life has a way of tying your hands up for a while. So this here is the Tiger box, it was a commission for a friend of mine as a birthday gift. It took me some time but in the end I feel it turned out better then even I could have expected!

The pic on the left is an idea I had to help keep the box open when it needs to stay open. I made a small section to help store the prop stick when the box is closed. Later I plan on lining the bottom of the box with a peace of silk or soft fabric of some kind just to try and finish it on the inside as well as the out side of the box.

So here I started the wood burning on the Tiger and so far so good! Starting to look kinda awesome to me, we will see how it gos the more I get done on it and get more shading in.

Close up on the tiger.

Even closer!

Here is the stages of the shading I went threw to get all the detail I wanted in it. So many hours of work, all of them well worth it in my opinion!

Getting the areas to the darkness that I want was harder then it looked! Took hours and hours of layers over and over to try and get that look.
